LAST MTC LETTER

Dearest Family,
Oh how I love you all! I can't believe my time here at the MTC is coming to a close. It feels like I just got here! I am good, healthy, and happy. This week flew by so fast. Thank you so much for sending me the care package, and prepaid phone. Thank you so much for the Uncle Si shirt! I nearly died of happiness when I opened that up. Sister Moesby and I both have Duck Dynasty shirts and we are both wearing them today for pday.  Most importantly though, thank you so much for the love and support and the prayers. It makes all the difference in the world. I say that all the time, but it really does help me out so much and for that I am so grateful. I cannot wait to call you Monday morning!!!!!!!!! I don't know how much time I will have once we check in, but we do have a 45 minute layover in Texas while we wait for our flight to Incheon, so I can also call you then.

This week has been so good. We heard from Elder Richard G Scott during our Tuesday night devotional! It was probably the best devotional that I have heard while being here. He talked all about prayer and the importance of sincere prayers. God so perfectly loves us and he wants to hear from us. Even though there are billions of us on this earth, he knows each and every one of us because we are his children. He talked about the importance of aligning our will with Heavenly Fathers and how we can seek to find answers to our prayers. He talked about how Heavenly Father will never abandon or forsake us and how he wants all of his children to succeed. I could feel his love for all of the missionaries so strongly. One of my favorite things that he talked about was how missionary work blesses families and how it not only blesses our present day families, but it blesses our future families. I know that to be true. I think about Dad and how the missionaries knocked on his door, and about Grandpa Joe, and how grateful I am that the missionaries taught them the gospel. Elder Scott gave us a blessing especially for those learning a foreign language. He said, "I seal upon you an apostolic blessing to learn your language." He said that twice. The spirit was so strong. Near the end of his devotional he teared up and said that sister missionaries were extra special to him because his wife served a mission. He also said that he felt that his beloved wife Janine was permitted to be with him while he was speaking. Anna wrote me a couple times about how she can feel that angels are with her, specifically Grandpa and Grandma Brugger. I thought about Anna and how the ministering of angels is so real. That is one of the spiritual gifts mentioned in Moroni Chapter 10, and I know that Anna has that gift. It was truly such an incredible devotional.

Last Friday we got the chance to clean the temple! I cleaned two of the chandeliers in one of the sealing rooms. My favorite part about the sealing rooms is the two mirrors that look like you are staring into eternity. I remember when as a family in the Newport Temple, or at least that's where I think it was, when we stood and looked into the mirrors forever. I am so grateful that I sealed to all of you and that we can be a family forever. That brings me the greatest joy to know that. I am so excited that I get to share that message of such joy with the Koreans.
The temple reopened Monday and so we get to attend a session this afternoon. I am so excited about that!

We had In-field orientation yesterday, and it got me even more excited to go out and serve. It is such an exciting time for missionary work and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

Last Sunday I spoke in church. I thought that because I was giving the closing prayer I wouldn't have to speak... Nope. I was prepared and everything so it was no big deal. Thankfully this Sunday I will not have to give a talk! Also, I HAVE MY FULL KOREAN NAME TAG!!!!! That was one of the most exciting things of this week. They spelled my name wrong because they thought you pronounced it Goodnuff... so in Korean my name tag sounds like "Goohdnohpuh chamae" But, I did some research as to what our name means in Korean. The verb goohda means to be strong/firm and noh is the low form of saying you, so I though that was pretty cool. Puh doesn't really mean anything by itself. I will send a picture of my name tags! Also, on Monday we bore our testimonies to some Spanish speaking elders and it was the funniest thing. I started speaking Korean pretty quickly and their mouths just dropped open and afterwards they were like, "You sisters are fluent!" I know that I am not by any means fluent and I have so much to learn still, but I thought it was really funny.

My time here has been a great learning opportunity. I am so excited to go to Korea to serve. I love you all so much and I hope that everything is going well! Thank you for your prayers. I am praying for all of you. I love you! I love you! I love you!
