Families are Forever

Dearest Family,
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a miracle healing from that stomach flu, and even though I definitely slept in on Monday and Tuesday  I was healed and I ended up losing 2 kilos too, probably because I didn't eat anything for 3 days. Anyways, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful new years eve and a happy new year! Korea celebrates the Chinese New Year. I can't believe it is already 2014. Wow how time flies! This year will be so great. I know it! I set some goals for this year. I thought about them a lot and I prayed about them and it was a really good experience. I know if I keep at it and keep striving to do my best each day that I can achieve them, but only with hard work and the Lord's help. The year has been good thus far and so far I am still happy, safe, and well. Setting those goals was a really good experience and a testimony building experience.

On New Years day we went to a funeral of an elderly man who was terminally ill. All the missionaries attended the funeral services and when they showed the body, his younger brother completely broke down and was sobbing uncontrollably. It was the saddest thing ever. I never had the chance to meet the man because he was in the hospital but even so, it was a sad day. It made me think about eternal families a lot, and it made me so beyond grateful that if I keep my covenants and if I do all that I can to keep the commandments and honor my covenants and endure to the end that I can live with all of you for eternity. I am so grateful for eternal families and for the joy that can be found even in the saddest of times and in the most sorrowful experiences. I truly love you all more that I can express with words. Knowing that families are eternal brings me some of my greatest joy in life. I am so happy to know that we can live together forever and that we will see our ancestors again in the ressurection.
We went to a fireside last night that was about setting goals and specifically about setting family home evening goals. Thank you so much for always making us have family home evening even when I didn't really want to participate. I am excited for December when we can have family home evening again together. The missionaries in the stake had to make 40 message cards and bake cookies. We don't have an oven, so we made 40 message cards. Needless to say, I have D&C 6:20 memorized in Korean now. That is one of my favorite scriptures from D&C.
In Korean years, I am 22! I definitely thought about the Taylor Swift song lyrics, for just a moment. At the beginning of the year everybodys age is one higher than the last year regardless of the day of birth. I am doing well, and I am happy. I will reach my 7 month mark in a week and a half, and it is insane.

Time is going by way too
fast. I love being a missionay and even though it has its ups and downs and is hard at times, I am so glad that I have the chance to serve here in Korea. I hope you all know how much I love you and how grateful I am for your prayers and for your fast. I could feel it helping me. My crown still hurts, but only if I chew a certain way, and it is considerably less painful. My head is fine, and my stomach has never felt better. I am healthy and well. We are going shoppping today. It's been a while since I have done that. :) I am praying for you all and I fasted for you yesterday. Thank you for your support and for your loving kindness to me. I am the luckiest girl in the entire universe. Thank you thank you thank you! I love you with all of my heart and Seoul!
Love, Goodnough 자매
