Dearest Family,
I love you all with all of my heart and soul and I was especially grateful for you all on Thursday. I hope you all had a great thanksgiving! I know that I did. We went to a kind family’s home in Pyeongtaek and had a huge Thanksgiving dinner. I definitely ate way more than I should have... I made the cookies that you sent me and I took some over as a thank you. I received the stockings and my companion absolutely loved hers. She told me to tell you "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" I have one request. Don't send anymore candy please. My crown is done and it feels better than before. I will get my new retainer on Tuesday. Other than that I am healthy and well! I am glad to hear that you had a great thanksgiving in Utah and I am glad that Olivia is doing better. It saddens me that she has doggy diabetes and that she has to have shots. I know she is an animal, but I pray for her too.
Last week was great! I went to dinner with Ruby. She is technically part of the ward where I am serving and I cleared it with my district leader so I wasn't breaking any rules. We went for 닭갈비 and to Baskin Robbins after. Ruby paid for everything and it was so kind. She taught me some new Korean words and I had a chance to practice Korean with her. Ruby's Korean is so great! Last Pday was one of my more enjoyable Pdays for sure. On Tuesday we had a zone conference. President and Sister Morrise are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. President Morrise was talking about how he wants our days as missionaries to not just be good, but to be joyful all the time. He said "Think of Sister Goodnough and her last name spelling. You think its good nuff or good now, but its good no and thats great! But if it was good now, think that I want your days to be joyful now!" We have the best last name ever! I thought it was sweet.
The ward members here are so sweet. They always give the missionaries food, but last week we also received sweaters and thermals too, along with a HUGE box of homemade kimchi. The people here really are some of the kindest people and I am so happy that I am able to serve here. We met with one of our investigators, and she took us to lunch. The first thing she told us was "I can go to church tomorrow!" It was the greatest thing hearing her say that she wanted to come. I really do love all of my investigators, and it makes me so happy when they desire the gospel for themselves.
My companion and I went door knocking last night and at one door a bunch of dogs started barking and so Sister Kim ran away. I followed her so we both ran away and to the elevator. We essentially ding dong ditched someone... The weather is constantly changing. Last week was relatively warm, but today it was -1 degrees celsius.
I love you all with all of my heart and soul! You are the greatest family that I could have ever asked for and I am so grateful for your love and your support. It means the world to me. You mean the world to me. I hope you have a great week and you are in my prayers constantly. LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
