Week of November 04, 2013

Dearest Family,

How are all of you?!?!? I was so sad that I emailed in the morning so
I couldn't talk with you. I read all of your emails. It sounds like
things are going well. I now have a temporary crown, and next Monday I
will get the real one.

Last week was a crazy week! On Monday we went to Pardarmoon with one
of our investigators and spent the whole afternoon there.
Pardarmoon is a famous site in Suwon and there is a Buddhist temple
there too, and a lot of sight seeing things like traditional Korean
houses and temples. We rode a train through the "mountains" and then
we rode bikes! It was so fun! It was a good opportunity to build a
closer relationship with her as an investigastor. She
always makes sure to have hot chocolate for us because we don't drink
coffee. She is such a thoughtful person.

Tuesday at MLC in the mission home, I had American cheddar cheese, and
I almost died of happiness. That was the last time for a while that I
will go to the mission home for MLC since my new companion is not a
sister training leader.

Wednesday and Thursday I was on exchanges with Sister Kang she is great! This time I decided that I needed to speak Korean. For about 60% of the time I only spoke Korean to her, and it was so hard, but the harder I tried the more Heavenly Father was helping me. I could
really feel  it. Thursday night I was back with Sister Yoon but on the
way to the church we saw Sister Kang and Sister Ward again. I had a 15 minute long conversation with Sister Kang in 100% Korean. I was using
words that I didn't even know I knew or had studied. I left my package at the church since I didn't want to carry it all around on the buses
and subways, so I had to go there to pick it up and also for an appointment with our investigator. When we went home on Thursday night I was on cloud nine! I couldn't believe that I had talked so much Korean and that I was able to understand so much. For the first
time on my mission, I have confidence. I have confidence that as long as I am honestly trying my best and that Heavenly Father will help me and that he will give me the words that I need when I need them. I finally believe in myself. That exchange was a really incredible experience for me.

My new companion speaks very little English and so it is a
little difficult to communicate, but as I have been trying, Heavenly
Father is helping me out so much. We can communicate what we will
teach for our investigators and where to go, but conversational Korean
is still hard for me. But, I know a lot more than when I first got
here and that is truly a blessing that I am so grateful for.

Thank you so much for the package! I didn't wear the turkey hat
tracting... but I was temped to! My companion loves American candy. It
is the cutest thing. The music is perfect. Thank you so much! Every
apartment has a DVD player so I am able to listen to it through that
perfectly. It is getting really cold here, but it won't snow until the
end of December and I have plenty to stay warm. Our apartment has a
floor heater and it is the greatest thing ever, especially after
coming home in the evening from proselyting.

I love you all with all of my heart and soul! I hope you are all doing
well and that you all have a wonderful week. I can feel your prayers
as they help lift me up and give me strength. You all are always on my
mind and I always pray for you. I will send pictures in other emails.
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love, Goodnough 자매
